Here are the steps to make a line graph:
1. Gather your data: Your data must be paired data. e.g. cost/month, price vs time.
2. Assign Values to your axes: You will need to assign values to your x axis (horizontal) and your y axis (vertical). e.g. cost -> y axis and months -> x axis.
3. Plot your data points: You must take each data point and place it on your graph paper (or electronic version of graph paper). e.g. assume that your first data pint is (2,4). The first number is always the x point, so you would go vertical from that spot on the x axis. Then find the 4 on the y axis and go horizontal from there. Where your vertical and horizontal meet is where you make a mark on your graph.
4. Connect the dots: Draw a line between the data points that you have plotted to finish making your line graph.
